Indigo Adventure
Kimono weaving

Moving into fall

i am having a hard time with the cloudy weather.

didn't have enough sunshine in seattle this year. it always depresses me to move from summer to fall. i think it is worse this year. since i got home from the cabin i haven;t stitched at all.

went to santa fe for three days and played.

thought of grace the whole time.. i love new mexico.

i love the air, the mountains and this amazing rainbow

Rainbow

i finally decided on a project for magic diaries. i keep changing.

i dyed all the fabrics at the cabin. i found a pattern for a simple kimono and cut out the pieces (they are all just rectangles)

i dyed them all in the vat.  of course, they didn't turn out exactly the same color.

so the kimono is all different shades.

i will do weaving on the whole thing and add patches, so the color will be okay.

after all it is just for home.

it turned out pretty well considering i hate sewing.

i already have a little feather drawn on

Feather
i think i will just close the doors and go sew for a while

That rainbow is gorgeous! I am feeling out of sorts too...barely stitching and all of the pretty that were hanging on my window eons ago, they are sitting in a heap as I feel uninspired for some reason.
I like that the blues are varied and the little feather...Ahhh...

Linda

i stitched the little feather last night and it is wonderful..
i realized that while i was doing that and this morning.. i miss stitching little cloths. i am not good at the big ones yet. i am new to this and i think i like just doing small things that don't have to be used for anything.

out of sorts.. another one of those english sayings.. wonder where it came from.
