Happy Solstice

Happy Christmas and Happy Retirement

I have given my granddaughter an angel ornament every year of her life. This year she asked for one made out of my "blue cloth". This should be Number 23.

I wove a piece for the angel and cut her out, then added wings and a head. It was pretty easy. I really enjoyed it and I like the way it looks.

I was supposed to work today. My last day of work. I got the day off and was "on call". Never called in. I am smiling. I don't have to go back to work.

In two weeks we start traveling. First we go to South Africa for three months and then London for three months. I will continue to write here. Will probably have a few more people to read the entries. So will become a travel and stitching blog. I will weave on a little pipe loom and knit too..

I can't believe the time is finally here. The first day of the rest of my life..

Oh Linda, this is such wonderful news for you! Congratulations and I wish you the best adventures ever!! Love this little angel :)
And I can't wait to see some of your travel pics!!

she will get her angel later tonight. hope she likes it. we are celebrating late because daughter and grandson are coming from the east coast. i can't wait for them to be here. it still looks like christmas here with lots of packages under the tree.
i'm excited tonight..

Enjoy your celebration!

hey judy
so glad to see you here. yes, retirement is great. we leave soon, so will finally be there.
it takes so long to get ready. i am ready for adventures.
stay tuned.

Have just found your blog. Retirement is a great and privileged state - so much time to indulge all those things you always promised yourself you would do. South Africa was our first port of call following our retirement and it seems to have induced a wonderful wanderlust - good luck!
